  • ATMs: Available at the airport and in Bavaro. Use bank ATMs, not standalone ones

Transport

  • Airport to hotel: Pre-book a transfer ($25-35 per person) or take a taxi ($40-60 fixed rate)
  • Around Bavaro: Taxis are expensive ($15-25 per ride). Some hotels offer shuttle service
  • For excursions: Most tours include hotel pickup, no separate transport needed
  • Uber: Not available in Punta Cana. Use hotel taxis or pre-booked transfers

Safety

  • The resort zone is very safe and well-patrolled by tourist police

  • Drink bottled water (tap water is not safe to drink)
